DL320s Server Cannot support 9TB??

Hi,

We got a Pro Liant DL320s Storage Server 9TB.

We installed Windows Server 2003 R2 but it only will deisplay 2TB as maximum size in Disk Management.

It is anyway we can get around this??

You can create 2T partitions and mount them attached to empty folders

Couple of questions:
A. Did you actually buy a Storage Server? or just a ProLiant standard server?

B. If you bought a Storage Server, why did you not boot with the pre-installed OS? You can get back to this OS by running the restore DVD included with the server.

Anyway, to get disks larger than 2TB you will need to convert the BASIC disk to GPT or use dynamic disks. You can make the GPT change in Disk Manager but you will need to remove any partitions (and Data) you have on that disk.
