HP Storage Mirroring Replication software
Hi,
We have two NAS X1600.
We want to replicate the date from NAS1 to NAS2 in real time. So in case of a fail of NAS1 we can start using NAS2 straight away.
We managed to setup replication but it just copied the data.
It didn't do the permissions and shares...
Can it replicate the data back from NAS2 to NAS1?

Re: HP Storage Mirroring Replication software
We have the same setup here, did you do a full server mirror? I was able to do a full server failover once and it worked like a charm. The shares are not really shared until failover i guess. But we ran into another problem. It worked only once, ever since i never was able to do a full mirror becose the mirror is always retring becose of locked files....which are locked by the darn mirroring software :( And if you can use DNS for failing over becose it'a a lot easier to failback after
