Logical drive failed help
Over the weekend one of our logical drives (E:\) failed as one of the sata drives in a RAID 5 array became degraded.
This logical drive is no where to be seen and it had alot of data on it. In the adaptec manager it says that it is rebuilding the failed drive but there is no estimate on how long it's going to take.
Can anyone help?

Re: Logical drive failed help
Well, from my experiecnce, It depends primarily on two things-
1. What your Controller is set at for re-builds; and
2. Size of the volume/drive. HP once told me to expect something like 30 mins per GB or something crazy like that... It could be a while.

Re: Logical drive failed help
30min per GB, wow that means it will take about 5 days.
Is there any way you know of how i can monitor this rebuild like in percentage?
