Virtual Disk X1600
Hi,
I have inherited a Storage Works X1600 and ofcourse with Vsphere and ASM (Win 2008) already implemented.
Recently a requirement has arisen to install a new Windows 2008 server VM on NAS.
With that intent purchased 6x1TB drives and populated all the rest of the banks.
Then created a Raid 5 Array and Logical disk using the 6 drives.
Next created simple disk with a capacity of 4.5TB.
Now I want to create a virtual disk vhd of 4.5TB and ASM wioll not allow me to create it.
How do I create a 4.5TB vhd and utilised it entirely for the new 2008 server.
Bearing in mind that I am fairly new to HP NAS, I would appreciate a bit of guidance and recommendation.
All assistance will be highly appreciated.
Best Regards
Monju

Re: Virtual Disk X1600
Solved!!!
Created a vhd slightly smaller than 4.5T and that worked.
Can anyone guide me on the next steps.
Thanks
Monju
