Compq SDLT 320 - Compaq SDLT 110 - Data Protector
I am trying to import a SuperDLT Tape1 (220-320GB) which I created on a
Compaq SDLT320 drive using HP Data Protector. When attempting to
import to a new server running the same version of HP Data Protector
but with a Compaq SDLT110 drive we receive the error "Cannot open
device () the request could not be performed because of an I/O
Device Error.). Is this error generated because I am trying to import
a tape created on a SDLT320 using a SDLT110 drive?

Re: Compq SDLT 320 - Compaq SDLT 110 - Data Protector
Assuming new tapes are working fine then the issue is backward compatibilty. 320 can read/write 110 tapes but not vice versa

Re: Compq SDLT 320 - Compaq SDLT 110 - Data Protector
Thank you.
Can I format my tapes within my SDLT 320 drive so they can read on a SDLT 110 drive?
