OBDR not working with DAT72x6
A DAT72x6 is installed on a small server with only NTFS partitions on IDE drives. When trying to test OBDR, the tape is mounted as CDROM drive C:, but then does not start the recovery. Instead the operating system from the IDE drive comes up.
Must there be at least one FAT partition so that the CD-drive is not mounted as C:?
Regards
Karl

Re: OBDR not working with DAT72x6
Karl, generally speaking, OBDR is only supported on HP servers due to the almost limitless number of configurations that are posssible. Here is a link that contains much information about OBDR.

Re: OBDR not working with DAT72x6
Lewis, i feared to hear this. Unfortunately this is of not much help to me. I had tried OBDR some time ago with another drive and succeeded. Is there any further or more detailed information about this issue? Or is there really no chance to get OBDR to work?
From the description of Tapeware and the drive itself (e.g. http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/dat726ta/index.html ) it was not obvious to me that OBDR does only work on HP Servers.
Kind regards
Karl
