DSM MPIO Compatibility?

If you don't upgrade the DSM MPIO on all of your hosts prior to upgrading SAN/iQ - what actually happens?

generally not much, but sometimes you can lose connectivity on that computer.  I've never had a problem if I've missed a computer before an upgrade, but I guess it might matter one day.
