FOM Network Best Practice

I've got a P4300 two unit kit that I just deployed.  I'm looking to install the failover manager onto one of my ESXi hosts.  Should the IP of the FOM be in the same storage subnet/vlan as the physical P4300 nodes or can it just be in my server VLAN?

It has to be in the same subnet as, or be able to route to, your nodes
