Hi, everyone;
I have an implementation with a Mikrotik CCR1009 (https://mikrotik.com/product/CCR1009-7G-1C-1Splus) which has a 10Gbe interface.
The idea is to create a trunk with an Aruba 2030F switch and this router through the SFP + interface
On the Mikrotik side the fiber optic transceiver is S + 85DLC03D (https://mikrotik.com/product/Splus85DLC03D), and on the Aruba side it would be the JD092B transceiver (HPE X130 10G SFP + LC SR Transceiver).
Other than to note that they have the same nanometer light (850nm) Is there anything else to consider?
Will they be compatible to interconnect with each other?
Best regards,
Jhon.

Re: 10Giga Transeivers compatibility Mikrotik vs Aruba
Hi @Megatech !
If your Aruba is 2930F (I hope that zero was just a typo) then the 10GBASE-SR compatible transceiver with LC connector is Aruba 10G SFP+ LC SR 300m OM3 MMF Transceiver J9150D
QuickSpecs for 2930F https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=c05052929 doesn't state JD092B as the compatible one. Maybe I am missing something at the support for it was added recently, could you clarify why you consider JD092B as the option?
Besides that J9150D and that Mikrotik transceiver should work together just fine.

Re: 10Giga Transeivers compatibility Mikrotik vs Aruba
Thanks for your reply
This is not a typo. Currently I am located in Colombia and that is the reference that I could find of Transceiver available in the distributors together with the (if not I would have to import it). The only thing I found was this other reference JL437A (Transceiver HPE X130 10G SFP + LC SR DC XCVR).
I would have to keep looking for the reference you indicate.
I had the same doubt because it explicitly does not say that it is incompatible (although it is more likely that it will recognize an Aruba-HP own Transceiver) but the risk costs many dolars per transceiver, so I asked;)
I was more concerned about interoperability between brands but I am already more comfortable knowing that it works.
I had actually made normal links with LACP and so far I am getting into bigger issues at 10Gbe.
Tks Ivan_B

SolutionIf you really have 2030F and not 2930F (as you say that zero was not a mistyped digit), then I am the one who is confused here, as HPE/Aruba does not sell a product with this number. Are you 100% sure about this? Let's verify, check the hardware by 'show modules' command. I don't want you to end up in a situation when you buy an incompatible part, so let's check everything.
As for compatibility between transceivers - your Mikrotik transceiver should work with any other SFP+ transceiver which supports 10GBase-SR standard and has LC connector. The tricky part is compatibility between transceiver and the switch where it's plugged in - that's where we need to be 100% sure.

Re: 10Giga Transeivers compatibility Mikrotik vs Aruba
Sorry Ivan I owe you a huge apology. I had misunderstood the typo and I already found it ..
I confirm that if it is the Switch 2930F. So in that case I did not find the Transceiver in Colombia, so I will continue looking for it or else I will bring it through Amazon.
As always Ivan, thank you very much for your time.
Best Regards
Jhon.
