Re: activate UID light from Linux command line

hi,

check this docu :

http://www.icare.hp.com.cn/TechCenter_StaticArticle/31754/35002.pdf

section :

1-1-5 HP Unique Identifier Utility (hpuid)

The hp Unique Identifier utility (hpuid) allows local manipulation of the ProLiant Unique IDentifier (UID) blue light on selected ProLiant servers. The hpuid utility allows the light to be turned on and off and will display the current status of the light (see Table 3).
Table . /proc descriptions
Command
Description
hpuid â d
Disable the UID (Blue) Light
hpuid â e
Enable the UID (Blue) Light
hpuid â s
Status of the UID (Blue) Light

Re: activate UID light from Linux command line

As it states (On selected ProLiant servers) I'm not sure the DL160 falls under the list of selected servers. You also need the health driver (hpasm) loaded to use hpuid
