scsimgr disable command

Can I safely use the scsimgr disable command to test IO failure? You can assume we have tools that should handle most types of corruption that may result. We are trying to test an issue with Oracle ASM on 11.31.

Re: scsimgr disable command

Hi,

How many paths do you have to the LUN? Anyways disabling a path in 11.31 will automatically redistribute the I/O load accross the other paths. However I do sincerely think you might have to add the -f option while using scsimgr disable and since you are using 11.31 , the health can be checked with the command ioscan -P health after which you can use scimgr enable which will again provide automatic lun path recovery.
