DL380 - Array Expansion Problems

I have a DL380 that had 3 HD in it.
I have added 2 additional ones and have expanded the array, but have not yet expanded the logical drive.

The system seems to be fine, but it doesn't see the network. I found out both of the NICs are disabled (I am only using 1).
If I try to enable 1, the system will not enable it. If I try to enable #2, I get a Blue Screen saying there is a hardware error.

Any ideas?

Re: DL380 - Array Expansion Problems

Hi,
Looks like an hardware conflict of some kind. this problem appeared just after you expended the drives?
what does devicemanager say? (the detailed info)

I had this problem with a cloneserver, removing the NIC's from devicemanger and reboting helped, the were detected again and it worked again. I did not expand any disks or so, just happend, never found out why.

Have a nice day,
HTH, Ronald

Re: DL380 - Array Expansion Problems

I don't know how array expansion relates to NIC, but usually NIC goes to disabled state on Proliant servers after new driver installation. The only way I know to fix this -- delete NIC from Hardware device manager and restart. After restart NIC will be discovered and enable
