Re: Event ID: 773

Event ID: 773

Every morning we find our ProLiant DL380 crashed; in the Event Viewer, we get the following error: "The Remote Alerter Agent received an error on WaitForMultipleObjects call. The data contains the error code."

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and help.

What else connected to Server any Storage enclosures ?
Do you use Performance Management Pack?
Agent Status, Insight Manager? Up to date
Some Services won't complete service and won't report Data Correctly â cause Server Hung and ASR will restart Server

http://motorolo.supereva.it/arc_doc/it/SNMP_Traps-whitepaper.pdf

seems to imply that the error is coming from The Compaq Management Agents for Servers for Windows.

WaitForMultipleObjects is a Windows function:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dllproc/base/waitformultipleobjects.asp

Do you have the data that contains the error code?

You should go into Control Panel, System, Advanced, Startup and Recovery, Settings and set it to create a minidump file. Might be able to tell more with that.

Re: Event ID: 773

I am Having the same issue. I get lots of Server Agent Event ID 773 Errors in the System Logs, a several hundred PerfOS and PerfDisk errors in the Application Log. Did you ever solve this problem?

Thanks

Stuart

Re: Event ID: 773

Stuart,

Yes, we solve the issue, but in a strange way! We reinstalled the system, which means we started with the ProLiant software, and followed with Windows Server OS. Probably, that is not the answer you wanted to hear, but that's what we did! The problem did not occur again, after the re-installation. We never figured out what was the matter.
