SolutionIt very depends on number of users, size/number of files (for example if you have 20 million small files....), and your budget

DL 380 G5 with SAN MSA 60 modules [scalable] should be fine.

Depends on the performance what you want, The DL380 wit the MSA 60 is a great choice, we have a costumer running that config.
another tip to boost the speed of the MSA is to put smaller disks in it, you will need more disk, but 72GB disks perform faster then 146. If you only use the server for data and the data are just simple files user request larger disk are no prblem. Ifyou use smaller disk it is more expensive, but it may be something to keep in mind.

Lower capacity disks giving good I/O sounds logically correct but need to check.
