We have our Exchange 2003 on a HP ProLiant 380 G4 with Microsoft Windows 2003 Standard Server.
After updating the server to Service Pack 1 (& restarting), the server shows no network connections, and the services pending on it couldn't start.
We must rollback the SP1 to get our Exchange back to live.
We use ProliantSUpportPack 7.40.
Are there any workarounds? Anybody having the same problems?
Thanx & Greats
Alexander

SolutionSP1 *shouldn't* be causing the issue, but I wouldn't rule it out. It may have replaced the version of the driver you were using with one which doesn't work. I'd also check the properties of the card and ensure that it's set to the same as the switch if everything else looks okay. Need more information to answer further though.

Re: HELP! No Networking after SP1
I am with Stuart. if you run ncpa.cpl and it doesn't show any connection, you MUST reinstall the driver for the network adapter.
that will do.
regards.
Edgar.

Re: HELP! No Networking after SP1
Well this may have been caused by the SP1 or not, the only option is to re-install the driver for the network. Maybe if you apply the SP1 again on similar system you might not see this.

Re: HELP! No Networking after SP1
I tried reinstalling the networkdrivers several times, also the newest proliant support pack 7.40. no success.
So I started all over: This time i DIDN'T boot with smartstart, but directly with the new Win2003inkludedSP1-CD, made all patches, and installed at last ste the psp 7.40 -> every thing works fine!
Thanks for all ideas!
Greats, Alexander.
