High system process CPU usage
For the last 4 days on our Windows 2003 DL360 domain controller we have been having incredibly high CPU usage. The "system" process is using 99% of the cpu. This usually occurs in the morning when our users begin to login to the network. We have not seen any problems with this in the past. I have tried updating the support pack on this server but when it reaches the point of installing the array configuration utility the system process jumps to using 50% of the cpu with the package using the other 50% and it will take about an hour to complete the rest of the support pack. We see nothing in the event logs to indicate what is causing this.

Re: High system process CPU usage
Get Process Explorer. It should tell you what System is up to.

You can also try HijackThis to see if there is something running which shouldn't be:

Post the scan log here and I'll look at it.
