Microsoft forums exist, so why ask in an
HP-UX forum?

Re: Host name for Second network card
Hi ,
1.You need at assign new host name in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" file.
Eg: 192.168.1.1
But this will work locally only (from same system). If you want to access from any other systems, you need to update the "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" file with hostname and IP address on each clients in the network.
2.If you are using a DNS server on your network just update a new alias in DNS configuration with the specified hostname and IP address.(no need to do first step)
Your Points are highly appreciated.
Regards,
Shan
