Insight Manager
Hi Folks,
I've installed Insight Manager on
a w2k3 machine but it only seems to monitor w2k machines. I have installed all the latest agents on the relevant servers.
The SNMP agent is the same on all the servers
Am I missing something.
Rgds
Stephen

Re: Insight Manager
Hi Stephen,
Windows 2003 SNMP only answers localhost queries by default (better security).
Go to services > snmp and on the properties pages configure SNMP to allow queries from your insight manager machine.
Note that choosing other SNMP community strings than the default 'public' and 'private' is a good idea considering security. You can tell Insight Manager these new community strings as well and all will work in a secure way.
