Installing Windows 2003 Server on a DL360 G1

When I go to install Windows 2003, it hangs at Starting Windows. I've tried everything I can think of, I have all Compaq memory in the system and the lastest BIOs 11/15/2002. I'm fresh out of ideas at this point.

Go into the advanced bios configuration and change APCI mode to Full Table -- Mapped.

Boot with SmartStart CD 5.5 or press F10 after raid config finishes. In the system config mode press "CTRL-A" to get into advanced mode. Then change APCI to Full--Mapped.

I cannot get into my bios on my dl360G1.

I can not find the APCI setting. Can you get to it from SmartStart5.5?

I have managed to change the APCI setting but my DL360 is still hanging at the "Starting windows" point.

Does anyone have and other pointers that could help? I really don't want to have to install 2000 and then upgrade.

This worked for me - would have never figured this out on my own.

Now does anyone know how to turn off the PXE boot setup as 1st in line by the system ROMpaq upgrade? It is not listed in the boot order in the SmartSrart 5.50 configuration settings.
