Locking a Computer using Ctl-Alt-Delete Options

Network Environment: Windows 2003 AD Domain

I've just upgraded a few laptops to Win XP Pro and have noticed that after about 5 mins or so they become locked. Is there anywhere in Group Policy where I can increase this timeout period before the computer auto-locks ? If not how can I change this apparent default setting ?

Re: Locking a Computer using Ctl-Alt-Delete Options

After only a short period the computer is locked (same as if you did Ctl+Alt+Delete to lock it). My question is can you can adjust the period after which this happens in the GPO. It isn't the screen saver I'm talking about but rather the Computer 'Locking Out' after such a short time - I want to extend this using Group Policy.

I can see there is a Screen Saver timeout under User Configuration - Administrative Templates - Control Panel - Display. But if you don't have a screen saver does this cause the computer to lock without one ?

Basically users are complaining that they have to CTl+Alt+Del after only 5 minutes or so of inactivity and enter their password to continue working. They don't mind doing this but they rather their laptop didn't auto lock quite so quickly...

if u wanna use GPO, yes it is the User Configuration - Administrative Templates - Control Panel - Display setting, is the one u have to use..

if suppose the user doesnot have a screensaver, then he will not be locked at all..

That's just it - they don't have a screensaver configured and yet their computer auto locks after about 5 mins ??
