ml350g3 smart start 7 problem
We have received a new ml350g3 with dual channel ultra 3 scsi controller with 2XU320 scsi drives. I used the smart start 7 cd and went through the process of setting up raid and then selected the OS which is 2003. After this is all finished smart start reboots the machine this is where I get an error. It says "Bad command" and I can see the c:/ drive and some files.
PS I am a newby in scsi installs.
Hope someone else is getting this error.

Re: ml350g3 smart start 7 problem
The SmartStart media may be bad... but we can try two methods here:
Insert the SmartStart CD and Select maintenence. Then perform a System Erase.
Now try the SmartStart Assisted Install.
Did that work?
Otherwise, you can install the Server manually:
1. Use the SmartStart CD to configure your array.
When the server boots up, hit F9 and enter the RBSU:
2. Set the boot order to be the SCSI array controller you have installed as the first device.
3. Set the O/S selection to Windows 2003
Save the configuration and re-boot.
4. Insert the Windows 2003 media in the server and install.
Let us know if you have any more success?

Here is a link to all the drivers and software you will need to build the O/S on this server:
