Monitoring and reporting problem. SBS 2003
Hi,
Basically we've had a client server running for a year now, and all of a sudden the monitoring and reporting has stopped working. it now shows a "page not displayed" error within the server management, and when it sends out the daily email it also sends that out as "page not displayed" . The OWA and backup features work with no problems.
The server runs SBS 2003 sp2.
In the event log i get the following errors..
Event Type: Error
Event Source: ServerStatusReports
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 17/07/2008
Time: 15:17:12
User: N/A
Computer: 4MSBS1
Description:
Server Status Report:
URL: http://localhost/monitoring/perf.aspx?reportMode=0
Error Message: The specified item could not be found in the database.
Stack Trace: at Microsoft.UpdateServices.Internal.DatabaseAccess.AdminDataAccess.ExecuteSPGetComputerById(String id)
at Microsoft.UpdateServices.Internal.BaseApi.ComputerTarget.GetById(String id)
at Microsoft.UpdateServices.Internal.BaseApi.UpdateEvent.GetComputer()
at Microsoft.SBS.UpdateServices.DataProvider.GetUpdateInstallationCount(DateTime start, DateTime end, String GroupName)
at Microsoft.SBS.UpdateServices.StatusPage.Utility.GetInstalledItemCountByGroup(DataProvider dataProvider, WSUS_GROUPS groupID)
at Microsoft.SBS.UpdateServices.StatusPage.Utility.GetUpdateSettings()
at usage.frmPerf.renderReportWorker()
at usage.frmPerf.renderReport()
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Ive tried reinstalling the monitoring service, reinstalling SP2, uninstalling sharepoint 2.0 (which another website said could possibly be linked with it)
Also just today, one of our other servers has suddenly developed the same problem (after it was updated) I cannot pin point which microsoft updates might have done this to the machine.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about a possible problem with any microsoft updates...or any idea how i could fix this problem? as we cannot view any of the monitoring reports...so its pretty urgent.

Re: Monitoring and reporting problem. SBS 2003
also to note that all of the SQL databases related are only shown as accessed on the time after i reboot, since then they become idle...if that means anything
