NAS 1200s

Hello, my trouble started while i tried to upgrade my windows server 2003.i couldnt do it ,and i learned that i can not upgrade unsupported upgrades.Ok...but now i m getting error at system start up as "at least one service or driver failed to start at system start up..." and in the event viewer it says it is about portmap.what is this portmap and how can i solve this?
