NAS server problem windows 2003 server
Hi,
There is Network Attach Storage Server (NAS)
DL380 server G4, with MSA 30 enclosure.The Operating system is WIN2003 server and the OS is installed on internal 6i Embeded Contoller.
There are total 3 logical drives on internal 6i Embeded Controller i.e,
Parallel SCSI Array A,
(Logical Drive 1 27555 MB, RAID 1+0
Logical Drive 1 7171 MB, RAID 1+0) and the OS is on these logical drive while the other Array and logical drive have data
while we boot the server it is showing following ERROR i.e. :
'Windows counldn't start because the following file is missing or corrupt :
\WINDOWS\system32\config\system\'
can u please advise us so that the windows start normally and data should not be lost, kindly reply me as soon as possible.

You can try to use one of this method:

but if you have HP NAS, you have Windows Storage Server as OS, and maybe better way is dettach all data disk and rebuild system from recovery cd's

I recommend reinstalling the Windows OS only.
First I would try a reinstall on the same partition. If this does noet help you can install windows on a different partition availiable (any). In either cases your data will not be lost.
If it helps, I wousl then store my data on a safe place, whipe the system and start from scratch.
Don't forget to check for hardware (disk)problems first.
Note: Please do NOT choose formatting options while installing, eg. format a partition. This will lead to loss of data.
