Need to setup active directory domain for a testing assignment.
Hi,
I need to setup active directory domain for my project.
My company has an active directory domain already and we are in that network.
I need to setup active directory domain in my project, for a weblogic testing assignment they have got.
How do I go about it. Please suggest.
Thanks & Regards,
-GnanaShekar-

Re: Need to setup active directory domain for a testing assignment.
Hello GnanaShekar,
Consider setting up a virtual server using Microsoft Virtual Server R2 or VMware Server (both are free). In that environment you can set up as many 'guest' systems as the hardware will support. We have our Development and QA groups set up as child domains of our corporate domain with their own DC(s), Exchange Server, ISA server, SQL server, XP clients, etc. We have them all on their own subnet/VLAN and the child domain in all geographic locations share the ISA server/internet access in our HQ city. It works great and we can deploy new servers in minutes instead of hours and, best of all, they can't damage our production network and since it's DEV and QA (not production) we can use our MSDN and VMTN licenses for these Virtual Machines (MUCH cheaper).
Make a great day!
Roger
