ONC/RPC Portmapper service cannot be started
We have 2 DL585G2 servers running Windows 2003 R2 64-bit version.
We installed the system with HP smartstart 7.6 and because of the SAN connection we also installed SAN surfer on these machines.
There is one service, the "ONC/RPC Portmapper" service which fails to start.
The path to the executable is C:\Program Files (x86)\QLogic Corporation\SANsurfer\portmap.exe
Everything seems to work fine but I just wanted to know what I can do about this.
This topic from the Qlogic site seems to be similar
