printer spooling error

We have an HPLaserJet P3005 - it is connected to a local network. I don't work on this station, just try to keep things updated so I have no idea how this occured. I was merely told that the printer was turned off over the weekend and now the error message says:

Print spooler unable to connect to your printer. This is caused by your printer being turned off, the cable being unplugged, or beingconnected to a VPN, which will block access to your local network. The document will print when a printer is available.

I have enabled spooling, I have restarted the printer and the computer, I have made sure that everything is plugged in properly. I even went into the command prompt to try to print from there.

Thanks for your consideration.

Re: printer spooling error

Not sure - The server is a Windows 2003 Server - I can print to the printer from the server but not from this cpu.

Re: printer spooling error

I was asking as your error message listed did not sound like an HPUX message.

The forum you posted in is an HP UNIX forum.

If W2K related you may get more responses from that forum.

Best of luck.
