Re: Proxy server configuration

Dear Raj,
You can not configure proxy server without any software to windows 2003.
But you can do make gatway for internet browsing. Read the following.

You have to put Two LAN cards,
One is External connection and another is for internal users.
The example is following

For Server: InterenetX.
Lan1:
TCP/IP: 222.111.10.233
Subnet mask: 255.243.23.99
Gateway: 222.111.10.232
Primary DNS: 32.25.255.6

LAN 2. ( for Internal Gateway)
TCP/IP: 192.168.1.1
Subnet mask:255.255.255.0
Gateway: 222.111.10.233
Primary DNS:32.25.255.6

Now IN CLIEN SITE
TCP/IP: 192.168.1.XXX
Subnet mask:255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Primary DNS:32.25.255.6

With this setting clien can access internet.

There is always some scope for improvment.

Re: Proxy server configuration

yeah ... just gateway, and internet for all will be work... but i think he wants to cache the internet trafick for limitation.
so if you have for example M$ ISA server, you just need to mark in "proxy" box, and you can show how many size (in MB) will be use for cache.
