Re-enabling a failed disk

I have an EVA5000 which in this case is replicating data to an EVA8000. We had a problem with EVA5000 and reset the master controller. However following that we had a failed virtual disk. The NTFS disk was now showing as RAW. We broke the DR and kept the replicated copy. Now when I mount the saved replicated Disk to another server it won't allow access as it states it is write protected. when I run a chkdsk it sees it as an NTFS formated disk with the original volume label and expected data levels saved to it.
Is there anyway that I may be able to access the data, even to just copy it elsewhere.
Thanks
Andy
