SBS

Hi

I have setup a GL 380 with SBS 2003 and configured the GPO its a maximum lockdown setup. But when i rightclick my strt menu it displays the properties from where i could browse anything. Is there a way to disable this.

Thx

Re: SBS

Well, no matter what the group policy is, the drives won't be browsable unless the user has permissions (share + NTFS) to do so.

It may be that you need to install Access Based Enumeration (ABE) which is available at Microsoft downloads, it hides folders from being listed if the user doesn't have permissions.

Also, if the GPO hides drives, it may take a group policy refresh to take affect.

I found a way to do it its simple. There is a option in gpo start menu where you can remove acces to the context menu.i will have a look at abe also
