I've set one up just a few months ago. What other hardware do you have, as far as storage, etc...?

Re: server 2003 cluster and sql2005

Thanks Chris,

i am using Dell 2003 server and MD3000 for storage.
-configure MD3000 to have 2 disks and present it to windows 2003 server (disk SQL Data J: and disk Quorun Q:) (done)
--create a new cluster on windows 2003 (done)
--install sql2005 with cluster option . this one i received error 67 ( some thing about cluster).

Questions:
--when install windows cluster, did you create any resorces?
--when install sql2005, it was asking to create a new virtual cluster that client will connect using this ip. would sql2005 virtual cluster and windows 2003 cluster are different?

--i have an existing sql2005 (production). my intention is when the first sql2005 cluster is up. will add this one to new cluster. would it be okay to add an existing sql2005 or i have to reinstall this sql2005 with sql2005 cluster.

Thanks for your helps.

Re: server 2003 cluster and sql2005

Hi Tom,

I am going through the same thing right now and was wondering if you ever got your HPOV installation to be SQL2005 cluster aware.

If you did, what did you do?

Thanks in advance for any help.
