SM Bus Controller
I have a new Pavilion a1350n, which I had to do a clean install of Windows XP Professional. The Device Manager now shows it's missing the SM Bus Controller Driver. I checked your website for the missing drivers and their are no drivers posted for the Pavilion a1350n. Would you know where I might be able to download chipset drivers for this computer? Thanks.

Re: SM Bus Controller
Vincent:
The chipset is ATI Radeon Xpress 200:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?dlc=en&lc=en&product=1818056〈=en&cc=us&docname=c00575717
I would try the Catalyst drivers from:
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=293
Be sure to read and follow the notes on that page BEFORE doing the download.
Make a great day!

Re: SM Bus Controller
I already installed the newest driver from ATI and that is working fine. The driver needed is for the SM Bus Controller, which shows up in the Device Manager with the yellow mark next to it. Thanks.

Re: SM Bus Controller
Install the Spring 2006 Original ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Graphics Drivers (sp26605.exe) at the web link below :
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?lc=en&cc=us&softwareitem=pv-36942-1&dlc=en〈=en
You can get all Chipset driver packages from HP. The sp26605.exe is a 63.85MB download. This should reinstall the SM Bus Controller driver.
If not, install SP26417.exe or SP26449.exe at the web links below :
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?lc=en&cc=us&softwareitem=pv-25741-1&dlc=en〈=en
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?lc=en&cc=us&softwareitem=pv-29693-1&dlc=en〈=en
Any of these 3 driver packages should work. Do go through the Installation Instructions for the second and the third packages, in case the Spring 2006 Original ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Graphics Drivers do not help.
Good Luck!
