Tape Drive

Hi All

i have install Drivers for Hp storageworks DAT 72 Tape Drive on windows 2003 server and when i Try to view the ICON of tape drive i cann't able to see

i have send the same message before but the reply i got was helpless ( He has told me to install the tools for tape drive)

Hello,

I juest read your other post. You want to access the tape drive in Windows Explorer? That's not possible. Try using Windows' Backup tool (under Accessories -> System Tools, I think). You should be able to see the tape drive there, and backup your data to it.

Once the drivers have been loaded the tape drive should be visible in the Windows device manager - however as posted previously, you will not be able to access the data through Windows explorer - you will need to use either the Windows backup utility or a third part backup package such as Backup Exec.
