Upgrading CL 380 Node 1 to 2003 Problem URGENT
Node 1 completely Crashed, so I rebuilt with new install of windows 2003. Node 2 up and running the cluster (Wind 2000). Cannot Join node 1 the cluster. Repetative Sys_Hm1.sys errors. SCSI settings appear to be ok with SCSI IDs 6 & 7.
I have upgraded the BIOS and PSP.
My problem at this point is to get Node 1 and recognized by the CR3500 controller and cluster as soon as possible. Node 2 has 54 Kb of space left it will lock up in the next few hours or days. HELP

Re: Upgrading CL 380 Node 1 to 2003 Problem URGENT
Richard, We recently tried performing a fresh install of Win2k3 on a CL380, but were unsuccessful. After many attemps and lots of instability we finally just reinstalled Win2k and all was well. Besides that issue, I'm not sure if you could get away with running Win2k on one node and Win2k3 on the other.

Michael
Yea I came to that same conclusion. I will re-install starting Monday if the remaining node does't crash before that. I got the web page research burn out. Need to clear my head for a couple of days. Thank again

ProLiant Support Matrix for Windows: http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/windows/archive.html
The CL 380 is not supported with WS03. Microsoft requirements for WS03 support include things such as ACPI which means that systems designed prior to a particular date aren't compatible.
