W2003Std Server SP2 RSM Tape Label Error
Using virtual tape from HP D2D, created HP MSL G3 medium changer and HP LTO Ultrium-3 drive with 14 cartridges. On W2003Std Server SP2, Rem Stor Mgr does NOT recognize media label on new cartridges. Try to write free media label gives this error - "Unexpected on-medium identifier". This worked some months back and quit...suspect Windows patch of some type. Cannot use LTT to format/label cartridge. Does anyone have idea how to label tape or why it doesn't recognize tape? I've updated all drivers, etc. and also rebuilt RSM database. Thanks!
