W2K3 Active Directory Replication.

Hello,
We have three w2k3 AD domain controllers. We shutdown one about a month ago thinking of retiring that server. The problem is, the active directory was not removed with dcpromo.exe.
So the other DCs that are running still thinks the shutdown DC is in the AD environment and try to replicate to it; which obviously put error messages.
Then we brought up the DC which we shutdown(we had that intact) still the replication not happening and the erroe says the KCC doesnt have a SPN for that DC

any help is appriciated.
Thank you

Re: W2K3 Active Directory Replication.

If you want to remove the server, you could use this procedure:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216498/

http://www.petri.co.il/delete_failed_dcs_from_ad.htm

Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?
