Windows 2003 cluster- Problem with Nodes

I have a Windows 2003 Cluster and I am having a problem with one of the nodes. I am not able to see the printers and faxes folder by host name only by node name on one node. For example, \\server A, I can see both the printer and faxes folder by host name and by IP but on \\server B I can only see the printers and faxes folder by IP not by host name. Help please! Tafari

Hmm, a bit uncertain about your configuration here...

Have you installed the Print Spooler resource in a cluster group containing:
Network Name
IP address
Physical disk

???

If so you should be able to browse to the \\clustername and there see a Printers folder where drivers for clustered printers should be installed.

With regards to both file shares and printers they should not be shared directly from each \\nodeA/B name.

Also be aware of the current trend in server-less printing - this has the benefit of not requiring a print server at all, so the benefit is less admin and machine cost.

Requires though that one standardizes on printers supported by the Universal printer driver http://www.hp.com/go/upd
