Windows 2003 SE/EE unattend installation problem

HW = Any older proliant server with SA 4200 as a first SCSI controller (RAID 0/1), 9 or 18 GB disks

SW = Windows 2003 with SP1 (MS select media)

Installation method = MS Unattended installation with answer file, source files from SS 7.30A and SmartStart Scripting Toolkit 1.2

When SCSI controller is 5i, 53xx , 6i or 64xx installation goes OK.
But when SA4200 is used A BSOD is displayed at the beginning of the textmode phase of the OS installation with Error code 0x0000007B.
I think it has something to do with cpqarry2.sys file which is not working properly

I've tried to use different files from SmartStart 7.30A and SmartStart Scripting toolkit dos and windows versions but same problem every time. (txtsetup.oem and unattend.txt + installation files)

Whats wrong with this scenario I am using ???

Jarno:

When you say older Proliant's.. do you mean pre-SDD6.x? Like the 3U DL380G1?

If so, you might want to try the drivers from Smart Start 5.5 CD.

You can alsy try a manual setup with SS7.3 to see if you get the same kind of errors.

Heya,

Yes, I mean the older G1:s and PL3000 etc.
I have tried the drivers from SS 5.5 CD and the latest from the website.

Manual setup works fine. I'm guessing it has to do something with the script files that I am using but just can't figure out what.
