XP Continuous Access over IP

Has any one implemented Continuous Access over IP yet? I've found a paper on a company that did EMC's SRDF over IP and was successful. Of course it was a vendor paper and they would only publish a success story.
I was wondering if any one has done this with XP frames and did you run into any problems? What is the performance like?
Thanks.

Currently, I believe CA requires ESCON, which if I'm correct is its own communication protocol and (if you will) standard.

Re: XP Continuous Access over IP

Patrick,
CA over IP is an announced product. It goes from ESCON at the frame to an IP converter which then can plug into a switched network. At the other end it converts from IP back to ESCON to connect to the frame. It sounds great and I have a need for it.
We have problems between our city and the next city where our remote site is. Apparently they will not allow us to pull our own fibre, not to mention the cost. Using our existing T1's would be a great solution.
I'm just not sure I want to be bleeding edge so I was hoping some one else is already using it.
Thanks,
Dave
