Cannot log into 3PAR console
Hi,
I'm new to 3PAR. I have been trying to add an uninitialized storeserv 8440 to the SP. The process failed, with one error stating " please enure SP is on same network as the specified Storage System". Trouble is I do not know how to change Storage system IP address. I have tried unsucessfully to connect through the console:
3PAR(R) InForm(tm) OS 3.2.2.709 (none) ttyS0
(none) login: console
Login timed ou
I have received console password from HP, but there is no prompt for password input. How do I change IP on storeserv?

Re: Cannot log into 3PAR console
Hi
is this a new system or do you just want to change IP
of existing system.
if it is new SVP looks for it with broadcast on the same subnet.
you can allways connect with serial console and run OOTB from there.
the username is console and password is cmp43pd
this password will not work once system is initilized.
if you just want to change IP address you can connect with serial console and use
your regular username password
and run commands “setnet startaddr oldip newip newnetmask”
· Then “setnet startgateway newgateway”
· Then “setnet finish -f”
Regards
give a KUDO if this helps

Re: Cannot log into 3PAR console
It is a new installation, but unfortunately SP is not able to discover storeserv. I have tried to run OOTB from serial port but default login credentials don't work.. Then I tried using username "console", having received password from HP. The system does not display prompt for password and times out after about 30 seconds:
3PAR(R) InForm(tm) OS 3.2.2.709 (none) ttyS0
(none) login: console
Login timed ou
There are two issues: I have no idea what storeserv IP address and login credentials are.

Re: Cannot log into 3PAR console
Hi
it seems your system is not new
because your default credentials are not working
so you need a password from HPE that is valid for 1 hour
and then you need to copy it from your mail

Re: Cannot log into 3PAR console
Hi, I had the same issue.
I had 2 3PAR's 8400. But the person that installed these ones mixed the cages. Please note too that button start with cage0 with nodes 0 and 1, next cage1 with nodes 2 and3.
Regards,
