Problem with Data Protector Express SSE 3.10 and two DAT Drives

Hello.
I have a W2K DC with 2 DAT (DDS) drives, one is a Compaq 20/40GB and the other is a HP 72GB.
When I create a backup job and select an specific device to use, I see that, sometimes, the other or both drives start working. And if I run 2 jobs simultaneously each one on a diferent device, the first one takes control of both drives and the in the status page of the second one, it says that the drives are in use by another proccess. I don't understand why I can't use a sigle and specific device to perform a backup job.
