HPSUM 6.3.1 Core Discovery Failed error for HP C7000 OA

Hello,

I have a C7000 enclosure running firware 2.32 on the active and passive OAs.  I need to upgrade this firmware and the blade iLO firmware to make it compatible with new BL460c G8 servers as well as ESXi 5.5.  I have downloaded the latest SSP and I have been trying to run an inventory of the OA but continue to get the following error:

Inventory error: Core discovery failed.

I am stumped.  I can't find any information anywhere about what the problem is.  My C7000 environment is listed below:

Active and passive OA

(1) BL680c G5

(6) BL460c G1

(2) BL460c G6

All of those have iLO 2 and of those we have them configure as below:

(7) ESX 4.0 hosts

(2) Windows 2003 servers

(4) Cisco switches

(2) Cisco fabric switches

May I have the ShowAll to check Firmware Version of All components on this C7000

Update BIOS for all servers :)

1. Log on to the Administrator Onbard
2. Click Configuration Scripts
3. Click show all-or Click here (it depends on the version of OA) as indicated by the screenshots below:

Bay1 ==> BL860c G5

Bay 2 ==> absent

Bay6 ==> absent

I advise you to update first BIOS of all servers after that try to update their iLO One by One

finaly update OA to the last Firmware, when done try to discover with HP SUM

Or try to update BIOS after that you can lanch HP SUM
