replacing display on C-3000 enslosure, enclosure must be powered down ?

Hello,

we have case that we have to replace second or third display on one of our c-3000 enclosures. Now, following this instructions:

we have to power it down. This is really odd. Is this really the case that we have to power it down? This has nothing to with stuff we been told that all components can be replaces without powering down enclosure except backplane ... Your toughs ?

If you can remove your OA, the Blades work fine, but the Fan runs at high speed.

You can do it without powering down the Enclosure, since you can remove the OA tray without Powering down the Enclosure.

You have two statements here. You have to power it down and also you don't have to power it down.

Link I posted is on HP official web site which is saying to power it down. Isn't this single point of failure at this system ? Imagine system build from Itanium blades with all marketing HP does for BCS and you have to shut it down to replace display ...

If you follow HP's recommendations you will be powering down the enclosure for everything from the c3000 display to moving a network cable.

This replacement involves removing the OA tray and replacing the part. Removal of the OA tray itself does not require powering the enclosure down -- neither does replacing it. I would be comfortable with doing this task without incurring a downtime for any blade within the enclosure. Of course iLO / OA connectivity will be interrupted, but other activity will function normally.
