Issue with external port mirroring
Hello, everyone. . .
I have a customer that recently bought a holistic solution for his contact center (Solution by:NICE Systems), where the situation is the follow:
Infrastructure use:
HP BladeSystem
HP Proliant
and equipment from Nice Systems.
Details
Into the Blade infrastructure, there are Virtual Connect and blade servers, one of these servers (called: log server), will record the voip calls that the agents do.
To the log server can record the voip calls is must be connected to a port of the core switch, this port is configured as port mirroring. In order to solve this situation we tried to configure in the VC a vnet, using an unused uplink and the Ethernet port assigned of the log server, but the log server can not reach to listening the lan traffic to record the voip calls.
Reference
How Port Mirroring function can be used for recording voip calls?
http://www.miarec.com/faq/what-is-port-mirroring; where the MiaRec has the similar function that the log server.
Has anyone had a similar scenario?
This configuration is or no supported using VC ?
Is necessary change the VC by another communication device? i.e.: Switch
Any comments?, Any idea?
I look forward hearing from all you.
Thanks a lot.
Regards.
