How to enable AIO on HP-UX FOR Oracle
I use sam--> Kernel Configuration
->Drivers->asyncdsk find its state is out
I use sam -> Kernel Configuration
->Configurable Parameters->max_async_ports
and find the current value is 50
I use sqlplus sys/passwd
show parameter DISK_ASYNCH_IO it is true already.
Should I configure AIO?

Re: How to enable AIO on HP-UX FOR Oracle
Oracle is using async i/o but hpux isn't. I've never really seen a need for it myself on the OS level, but you never know.
