Logging from HTTP takes time

While finacle(application) is being accesed from character mode that is opening a telnet session on the machine/PC and executing finacle the time taken is approximately in 10-17 seconds but when it is accessed through a http port the time taken is in 4-7 minutes. The port is a resin port that has been configured. We are not able to understand any particular behaviour. Can u suggest how can i bring the logging time down. Thanks in advance

Re: Logging from HTTP takes time

When logging on http protocol, are you using an applet and a Java executable like Jinitiator?

The first time you log on the applet needs to be installed on the client (if it is not already installed) and, thus, the first time the process could take those 4-7 minutes you are saying. After that, when logging on again, it should take no more than 1 minute...

Re: Logging from HTTP takes time

Hi

The problem is solved. I had to increase the kernel parameter of maxusers and maxuprc.

Thanks and Regards
