DL585 G2 P400 DISK 146 G failed with Firm HPD5 DG146BABCF
Hi,
I have a problem with a DL585 G2 with P400
P400 Firm 4.22
Shipped with 8 HDD 146GB -
Firmware HP D5 - Model: DG146BB976
When a disk has failed in the array and replace with HP D5 DG146BABCF
Rebuild is OK, but some days afterwards , the new disk is failed again
This problem was 3 times repeated with disk HP D5 DG146BABCF
We upgraded FW of the Smart Array Controller P400 from 4.22 to 5.22 and rebuid the raid
We wait for result
Thanks for your assistance

Re: DL585 G2 P400 DISK 146 G failed with Firm HPD5 DG146BABCF
Hi,
Looking at the fixes section for the P400 firmware updating is the first best thing you should try.
If all the disks failed on the same drive bay it could be due to a problem of the SAS Backplane.
If the Firmware Update doesn't fix the issue try replacing the SAS backplane board (Spare Part# 419618-001)
Regards,
Shiraj.
