EMS message with primary battery
Hi,
I got following EMS message twice yesterday.
-----------
Array at hardware path 0/5/0/0.8.0.5.0.0.0, path 0/4/0/0.8.0.4.0.0.0: The primary battery has failed.
Associated OS error log entry id(s):
0000000000000000000
Latest information on this event:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/content/hardware/ems/fc60mon.htm#22
Description of Error:
This event message is displayed when the primary battery fails
or at boot up, because the battery may be charging.
Probable Cause / Recommended Action:
Replace the battery from the main enclosure.
----------------
Does primary battery means Battery Backup Unit ?
I cannot locate any fault LED at fc60 , amlog and logtool doesn't hint anything.
machine is not bootup , no charging LED blink.
What is wrong ?
Thanks in advance for your suggestion.

Re: EMS message with primary battery
Hi,
I don't know if you've received a reply for this yet, but, in case you haven't, the problem is just a fw issue on the fc60.
Contact HP to have the fw updated - but - remember - think change management!
Cheers.
