What can i do after upgrading san switch firmware fail ?
Hi,I had upgrade the B series 2/32 san switch from 4.0x to 5.0x. According the document it recomdand to upgrade to 4.4x first then to 5.0x. I had upgrade to 4.4x succesfully but upgrade to 5.0x fail. By serial connection i noticed that the san switch always tried to boot, and seems like cannot found boot partiton. And i found the following information
**********************************************
"The HP StorageWorks SAN Switches have two partitions of non-volatile storage areas, a primary and a secondary, to store two firmware images. Firmware download always loads the new image into the secondary partition and swaps the secondary partition to be the primary."
**********************************************
Can I try to told san switch booting another partitions ?

Re: What can i do after upgrading san switch firmware fail ?
Not sure of the commands offhand, but if you run...
firmwareshow
you should be able to see if the second partition contains the original firmware.
By default, if you just run firmwaredownload, upon successful reboot, the primary "new" partition should automatically update the secondary partition. (if you selected the auto-commit.)
Did you reboot the switch after updated to 4.4.x? or did you try to go right to 5.x? You should probably reboot the switch, let it settle in for 10 minutes... check things out and see where your at.

The major problem is I could not get into the Fabric OS. It always show the following message.
