how to use va7400 in a Linux enviroment?

dear all,
i need to use a va7400 disk array in a Linux enviroment, i plan to connect the va7400 to the HBA of the Linux server, and modify the va7400 os to linux. what else do i need to do? do i need to install extra software on the Linux platform?
